I need some info. for my Sister. She has a student loan that was 120 days delinquent. It is now being paid on time. It is with Citibank. She called Citibank and asked for them to update the loan but they said they can't do that. Does anyone have any input regarding this? I know there is something about rehabbing a student loan. But does it have to be a Sallie Mae loan. Or is it only for once defaulted loans? What about contacting an Ombudsman? Does anyone have any contact info. for Citibank. I am not sure on what to tell her. She attended a tech. school and didn't finish so it is not university situation where she can contact the financial aid office. How about the Goodwill attempt? I know there is specific policy regarding student loans. I haven't really paid much attention to it because I do not have any student loans problems. Could you direct me in the right direction, please???? Thanks!!
Go to citibank student loan dept website. They have a ombudsman's office there. Someone there will be able to answer questions you have about student loans. As specifically to rehab the late and see what THEY say.
