I want to use the rehab program. The problem is the CA is giving me the line "We need 1/2 down and payments of X dollars." The payments are OK, but I don't have the 1/2 down, not anywhere even close. They won't budge, any advice?
Contact Obudsman, they should be able to help you negotiaste directly with the studen loan lender and the CA will have to abide by the terms that you agree with the lender trough Ombudsman.
Start at the site below. Apply for a new PIN as I am sure you don't remember your old one. Get a copy of your original promissory notes. Then call the omsbudsman's office and beg and plead for help. Be courteous and be on your knees...I suggest crying too...lol. They may be able to circumvent the CA and set up a rehab program for you. You make your 12 consecutive pmts and off go the negs.
