I recently pulled my report from CreditExpert. It listed my student loan as scheduled to continue on record until 8-2006. It lists date opened as 9/1999.
Reported since 12/1999. Last reported 06/1999. Now I left school in 1989 and have not made a payment since 1991. Shouldn't this be off by now?
They took my income tax refund which paid this off in full, will that start the clock again as it will look like I have made a payment? Can I get them to at least put $0 under the recent balance? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've truly paid off the account, then yes they would have to list a $0 balance. They're not still sending you bills, are they?

Sending a payment does not restart the SOL clock. The FTC has an opinion ltr out there on this exact question.
