Re: Student loan rehab? It doesn't seem to make sense. You can rehab a defaulted loan with 12 on-time payments but you are screwed if you just have late payments but do not default.

Is there a way to get them to remove those damn outragoues collection fees/penalties from the guaranty agency when a student loan goes into default? 25% to a damn collection agency is crazy. OSI education services can bite me! Has anyone ever nogotaited a student loan for less than the full balance for rehabbing the loan?
Re: Student loan rehab? I don't think you can settle on a student loan, I am sure someone has though, somewhere. Very difficult from what I gather. Getting rid of collection fees seems probable. Anyone done this?
