hi, i am just wondering if anyone on here has applyed for the first united visa card listed on the homepage of this site? please list your experience with them. i would like to apply for a visa to reestablish my credit and i dont know really what is out there. thanks donna
It doesn't look like a credit card, what it looks like is a Credit Card "Search" company. They scan the web and find anything that says we accept bad credit and then sell it to you. It's usually always the same amount of money. I suggest you try Orchard Bank, Household, First Premier as a first choice. While they have their fees and at times they are quite steep, they have been good to most of the people here.
Don' t apply for anything yet. Get your reports, start disputing, give it 30 days and see what is deleted. On the credit report with the most deletions, start up your plan of attack. I started with inquiries, especially since they weren't mine. There was crazy things like, lumbar cards companies, tires, etc.. If you have any ca which are paid, (validate and dispute with cra, if neg, nutcase and , if neg) oh well at least you tried. On unpaid collections, read up on a strategy, remeber SOL for your state. Send validation letters (crrr) and dispute with the CRA at the same time. If these accounts are within the sol, well check for strategy. For lates, try disputing and if that does not work, try a Goodwill letter. This is how I cleaned up my Transunion. I am now working on Equi-Sux. It is going to be intense. There is crap on there that is going to take a millenium to make me look good.
