Today I applied online for and was approved for a Kmart Mastercard ($200 Kmart Limit/$100 other stuff) and a Target card ($300 limit).

I almost feel human again. Boy was I nervous while waiting for the response when I clicked submit.

A small step but such a big one for me.

    --------

    Just pulled my husband's reports:

Equifax lists a Citibank account as Terminated. It says it's an installment and Pays as Agreed but the last activity date is 1992. Can this be disputed as obsolete even though it's not a derog?

This same entry is on his TU but it's listed as Closed with a $0 balance as of '93. Can this too be disputed as obsolete?

Husband filed BK in '93 and all debts were discharged. This Citibank account was one of them.

There's also a men's clothing store card. The store went out of business about 9 years ago. It's listed as Undesignated and Pays as Agreed as of 1993 with a $2,700 limit. Should we get that removed and how?

Lastly, there are 2 inquiries from First USA Bank, one from 7/29/99 and the other from 5/11/2001. It says permissible purpose, however, he never applied to First USA Bank for anything. He got a Macy's card in 2000 but hasn't applied for any other credit of any kind since 1992.
