All: I just checked the status of my experian dispute and it says DELETED! I pulled my credit report from Privacy Guard and the account is not listed under EXPERIAN anymore. THIS IS MY VERY FIRST DELETION GUYS! Thanks! I need to get something straight though. I disputed the same account with TU and EQ as not-mine but it came back verified by both? What's up with that? I am planning on sending procedure request to the CRA and a nutcase to the OC. I'm going to the bank to have my nutcase letter notarized! =)
sorry guys, this is my very first deletion so I gotta bump this. I have a question. If I send a nutcase to the OC for verifying with TU and EQ, do you think the OC would re-insert the deleted acct. on EXP? Might wake up a sleeping giant.... I guess it depends on how risky I want to get. But is there a way to show TU and EQ that EXP deleted the account? Maybe they'll delete too? Sounds very unlikely...
Thanks! I've read a lot of horror stories about EXP, but so far they have been the easiest CRA to deal with. They deleted my old addresses with no questions asked and now this collection account.
Congrats to you!! It still is a great feeling when a negative is updated and/or deleted. Exp has been the hardest for me- Whats your secret?
I simply disputed online as not mine and 30 days later it was gone. I've read about deleted negative TL's being re-inserted. How likely is this to happen? How can I prevent this from happening? Does anybody know? thanks!
Make sure you've done all the research on that nutcase letter before you send it out ... If I remember correctly this is for PAID accounts (which yours very well might be). What kind of TL are you trying to remove? lates? charge offs? You might just keep disputing with the remaining CRAs, but try a different reason like "balance wrong" or "dates wrong." A result of "verified" from the CRA is not the end of the line ... its just one of their tactics. Consider it a starting point. (Although I have to admit I'm sick of the games) peace, delilah
I had a similar experience. I had a credit card bill for under $200 back in 1994. I disputed it 2 years ago and it was gone within 30 days. I doubt they really investigated it.
