I finallly had some sucess in removing negative information. I thought I would share it with everyone. I am very happy, but still got a long way to go. I disputed two paid Charged-off accounts, a judgment, and a paid collection account with Equifax. They ended up deleting both paid charge off accounts, and the judgment!! The collection acct. remains. I am very surprised that they removed anything, but I am glad they did. Now to make disputes with the two other credit agencies. So there is hope people.... don't give up!
congrats! Did they give you specific reason(s) why they chose to remove that? What had you asked them to do in your letter? Just verify the debt? Or validate it? Or did you merely dispute its accuracy?
