Yippeee!!!!! When I got home on yesterday, there were two letters from RJM Acquisitions stating that they had permanently closed both accounts (Fingerhut) and had sent notice to the CRA to delete the tl from my cr. It went on to say that if within 45 days, the tl are still on my cr, I should just send the letters to the CRA. It feels soooo goooood to know that I actually accomplished this without having to pay someone else to do it for me and in this process I am learning so much about the whole world of credit. Thanks to the creators and members of this board and others like it, my credit report and score are on the way to a full recovery.

congratz, but it looks like we're not in a small number, the person that i spoke with at RJM said that they bought SIX MILLION FINGERHUT accounts, and from the way that it looks from a couple forums, almost anyone who disputes them for any reason they're being deleted no questions asked... I spent almost a full day trying to get an answer on the phone other than their our office hours are, if you are caling between those hours, call back in an hour; so I called TransUnion which they had sprung up on over the weekend before, asked for a number they had, and the voice mail message for that number had a toll free number to call... So much better than paying to hear their office hours time after time after time after time...
