Hello, I tried posting in sample letters section. Mods feel free to move. Also I can't seem to add pictures. Sorry the pictures I mentioned of the letters I received from the credit agency are not included I thought I would share some excellent news about my recent pay to delete experience with one collection agency, before asking for advice on how to proceed with a difficult one. Obviously I've crossed out my information and I have crossed out the Collection Agency worker who helped me. i dont' want to get him in trouble and fired. We need good people working for collection agencies who will work with us!! My first experience has been a great one with NCC, Commonwealth Financial Systems Inc 245 Main Street Dickson City, PA 18519-1641 NCC has 2 accounts that I owed. Account 1, originally with HSBC, was listed on transunion and equifax twice as a collection account with NCC *and* as the original account in collections status under HSBC (Household Bank / Orchard). Account 1 was listed on experian only as a collection account with NCC. Account 2 was an old AT&T mobile account listed with all three credit bureaus but only under Commonwealth as a collection account. I should mention these were very old accounts and the last letters I received from NCC/Commonwealth were at least 6 months old. I use truecredit.com as a credit monitoring service, this allows me to have a copy of my credit report with all three bureaus onece a month and update the transunion report once a day. So on April 18, 2012 I ran all three reports and the accounts were listed as I mentioned above. On May 2nd I sent 1. the sample letter-1 I have pasted below 2. along with a copy of my April 18, 2012 report showing only the accounts with NCC/Commonwealth 3. most recent copies of demands for payment for each account I received from NCC/Commonwealth On May 14 I received 1. 2 letters shown below - obviously I have crossed out my information, letters dated May 9 one letter for each debt I mentioned in my original letter >>>>>>>>>>> Sorry I could not attach or upload pictures the letters basically say: We agree to your request <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< On May 29 I sent - yes I waited until the last minute because why else would I be in this situation 1. 2 money orders, 1 for each account 2. Copy of everything I sent May 2nd: sample letter-1, copy of April 18, 2012 report, copy of most recent copies of demands for payment for each account 3. Copies of the two letters I received May 14 4. I sent the payment overnight mail from us post office. Because this was an overnight letter I could not also send it certified. The post office explained this was because the certified form has it's own tracking number, and the overnight mail addresse form has a tracking number, so applying both forms would give the envelope two tracking numbers and that's something they can't do, which makes sense to me On May 30 1. I checked the usps.com website and verified the letter had been delivered 2. I called the "Debt Liquidation Specialist" i.e. customer service representative at NCC and told him I sent the payment and gave him the tracking number. He called me back in 30 minutes to say yes he had the payment in hand On June 18 I sent 1. Sample-letter-2 I have pasted below reminding credit agency of their agreement to remove 2. I went to usps.com and printed the tracking information showing the payment had been received by NCC and included this 3. Copy of the stamped express mail addresse form, stamped shows It was received at the post office 4. Also sent a copy of everything I sent May 2nd: sample letter-1, copy of April 18, 2012 report, copy of most recent copies of demands for payment for each account 5. Copies of the two letters I received May 14 On June 27 I ran a copy of all three bureaus through my truecredit.com subscription and both collection accounts under NCC/Commonwealth were removed from Experian and Equifax. On July 1 I ran an update of TransUnion and both collection accounts under NCC/Commonwealth were removed from Transunion! Now the duplicate listing under HSBC Bank is still on Transunion and Experian, but I expected this. On July 2, 2012 I have submitted requests for these to be deleted through online disputes with both companies. I have to wait 45 days for the results. If they don't agree to remove then I will submit a dispute through the mail and include copies of the letters NCC/Commonwealth sends me. I'll let you know how it goes and hope this detailed report helps you. Now on to my request for advice. I have put it in a different thread just to keep things easier to read -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sample Letter-1 NCC, Commonwealth Financial Systems Inc 245 Main Street Dickson City, PA 18519-1641 Date: May 2, 2012 Re: NCC/Commonwealth Account Numbers 98765432 (Original Creditor: AT&T Wireless Account Number: ABCDEFG) and 12345678 (Original Creditor: Household/Orchard Bank Account Number: GFEDCBA) To CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS NAME ON BILLS I RECEIVE – Ext 123: This letter is in response to your letters related to the accounts listed above.
