Disputed nine accounts on line 6/24. All were part of 13BK filed in 96, discharged 2000. Disputed on basis of acct closed date incorrect. Advised on 7/23 that results had been sent out on Monday, the 22nd. Should receive them tomorrow in mail. However, while I was checking, CSR said she could tell me status on disputes: ***5 successes**** Natl City -deleted Elan Financial - deleted Crestar - deleted Credit Union - deleted Mobil Oil - deleted ***** Note: all of the above accounts had been included in the paperwork that I sent TU like a dummy in early Spring showing they were part of BK, and not chargeoffs. And all had been shown as verified as recently as 3/2002. ************* Moral to the story: keep trying !!! Not as successful : Verified: (all were part of 13 BK as above) 5the 3rd Bank - has verified all 3CRA's BTW, (twice) Beall's Dillards Foley's all of the above will be deleted anywhere from March 2003 to June 2003, as will the 13 bk in June 2002, if I don't get them off sooner rather than later. ( BTW, who would have thought department store cards would linger longer than some of the major cc's ?? all included in BK ! that is also true on Equifax of Beall's and Foley's.) Additionally, I am still being reported as a Library Felon by Unique Collections as CA for local library to all three CRA's. That's another project in and of itself. Been working on TU since October 2001, will continue to do so. Plan to pull FICO later, I am curious what my score will be.
Congrats! You've really had some success. It does seem like you have to try and try again sometimes but those deletions are great.
Maggie, Nice job, I only wish I was having the same success rate that you are. Last month I got the famous "we think you are using a credit repair company - and now we're made at you'' Just now I got the famous "it's already been verified buster - so unless you have some new info, don't bother us anymore" Do you or anyone else here have any ideas I can try with good old TransUnion? congratulations on all those deletions. I do have to tell you, that I owed my library $$$, and after reading about your CR, I called them ASAP and worked something out (turns out they only charged me $! Yeah!!) You made me into the fine upstanding citizen I am today!!! LOL
I disputed 2 accounts with citibank for the 3rd time and when I called today after a strange letter they said the account was locked and it was with the priority section. She said it had nothing to do with fraud but they would call back tomorrow. What the heck is this priority section?
That means the TU folks were out back smoking a joint and listening to the new Moby. Call back later.
