Then I would go to the FAQ's and scroll thru till you find the link to "Maries no permissable purpose" thread. I believe there is a sample starter letter there to get you started. .

    Here's a real invasion

Here's a new scenario reporting with incorrect date, amount, acct #.

Paid CA for medical 4 years ago. Sent HIPAA to OC for paid acct along with informing OC of the inaccurate reporting after 4/13 of the account. Followed Why Chat's rules to the letter.

2 days later, the CA pulls THREE soft inquiries on me.

Now, they are paid and have been for some time. What right did they have to look at my report in any form?

And here's my July 4 whine...

And, what do CNeters make of these "inquiries"?

I assume they are "soft" and I'm really just grumbling unless I have some recourse.

From EXP report 7/3/03 in their "Requests reviewed only by you" section of their "online report":

    FIRST USA BANK 6/18/03
    and
    Sears 5/6, 4/22, and 3/14/03

FUSA is the one I'm fighting with who refuses the "included in bk" notation, even though I sent them my bk 7 paperwork.

And Sears is the creditor who sent me the letter a few weeks after I filed saying they were closing my account even though I owed them $0 and so did not include them. Bks in DE are considered "news" so they are listed in the newspaper. Have they offered to give me a new account? No. They were the ones who closed my account not me, yet they have been looking a parts of my EXP account three times. Did they think my bk was going to dissolve or something in the eight months since I was discharged? None of my other creditors who I did not owe closed my accounts. Unfortunately I cut all my cards up but one, my BOA "prime card".

I have tons of other soft inquiries but these are the two creditors with recent "soft" or whatever EXP calls PRMS or ARs that really bug me.

Anything I can do with FUSA and Sears since neither of them are current creditors?

On a really positive note my FICO scores are now EQF 662, EXP (from myfico) 663, and TU 679 as of 7/3. Much better than I hoped. My TU and EQF FICO's were 582 and 633 in early May, to give an example of how much they've improved.

Hope you are all having a great holiday!
