I just filed suit against CAC for violations of the FCRA. I hope I did this correctly. I had a $8000.00 debt discharged in Sept 01 under a CH7 BK. CAC was included, and never contested. They still pull HARD COLLECTION INQUIRIES on me, most recently as DEC 18th. THEY PULL 20-30 AR INQUIRIES a month as well. Since there is no debt, they are trying to "collect" what? The debt was discharged. I have a trial date in March 02, do you think they will settle, I asked for $2500.00 and removal of the trade and inq's. What do you think
Great that you're suing--I would have multiplied each inquiry x $1k (violation of FCRA damages), though, and filed in a different court--you are letting them off cheap! cariba
