I'm in the process of suing Mervyn's for re-aging my account. This is the problem, RNB is the financial institution, Target Corp. own of Mervyn's. The registered agent for Target and Mervyns are the same and I can't locate an agent for RNB. Could I sue Mervyn's, Target Corp. or both?

    Help! any one

You didn't pay your Mervyns bill? Shame on you! (My wife used to work for Mervyns).

Unless it has changed in the last 5 years, I believe the parent company is actually Dayton-Hudson. They (at least when my wife was there) owned both Mervyns and Target.

Who is credited with the actual tradeline on the credit reports? That's who you need to go after.

    Not the best advice.

Since you have multiple entities that may be responsible, to avoid the Judge finding that you sued the wrong one (and creditors are very good at pointing the finger at each other) just sue them ALL and let the judge figure out who's responsible.

Thanks for the response. I think I will sue them both.
