Hi, I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere sorry if I missed it. I received a summons to appear for mediation regarding a B of A account that is 3 years old. The summons is from worldwide assest purchasing LLC. I'm not sure what my next step should be. I am a stay at home mom but I have a joint checking account with my husband. Can they go after that account? What can I expect from mediation? Thanks Jill
First, relax... The first thing that ends up happening is the consumer starts getting scared (which is normal), but it also gives them the upper hand, and they will take advantage of it, if they can. Not sure about how the mediation process goes, never personally went through it, but you do need to try to stay calm. What can, or can not be taken depends on your state, and the laws in your state.
