Does anyone know if any of this oil companies will issue a gas station credit card to someone with a BK?
Personally I've had no luck with any Gas Cards. My BK was filed in '95 discharged in '96. Around 2000 I started getting mail for unsecured Credit cards with Capital One and Household. I have 2 unsecured Credit cards with Capital One and one with Household, total CL's around 8k. I also have an auto loan with Household. Never been late on any of these. I have yet to break out of the rut of only getting credit with Capital One or Household. I tried an ExxonMobil about a year ago, tried a Sunuco a short time ago, just for the sake of trying to get something different, both were denied with the BK given as a reason. Some folks have said a gas card is a good place to start, that hasn't been the case for me. I can't understand how I can get a Platinum Visa with a 5k limit, but get shot down for a $250 gas card. Go figure???
