I sent a DV letter to a CA several months ago. I sent letter when I checked report and saw this collection. I may have been informed of acct in past but i used to not open what vappeared to be unpleasent mail. Anyway, I recieved the validation today after 100+ days since DV letter. Is there any recourse because of long reply time?

As long as they didn't attempt to collect in the meantime, there is no violation.

The law does not say they have to respond within a certain time frame, only that they must cease collection activities until they provide validation, assuming you requested it within 30 days of the initial contact.

Authority states roughly 90 days and as Hedwig says, so long as no additional collection activity took place there is nothing.

This is all premised upon the presumption that your request was timely in the first place.
