I just had a question about CCA Collection Company of America. I found out that they don't have a surety bond in Texas via Texas Secretary of State. I wrote a letter stating that they don't have a surety bond here in Texas. I stated in the letter that I am not admitting any liability to this debt. I also stated that they are harming my credit with this illegal report of items that they need to remove it with a letter of removal or I will file on them and pursue FCRA and FDCPA violations. I got a letter back today just saying that the information on my credit report is accurate!!! Nothing about the surety bond issue. What's my next move?

    Hi John,
I am certianly no expert, but until one answers..(wont be long) Just based on what you said, if you brought up the Texas Bond issue you might have threatend the inclusion of the Texas State Attorney office rather than the FCRA or FDCPA since it is a Texas law

Side note did you check if they where lisenced/bonded in their home state also?

If they are not bonded in the state, then you would file a complaint with the TX AG.
