    * The two judgments have errors. I had a roommate that bailed on me. We had to go to court. I got served twice. Once I got served I paid the judgment on July 2001. I went to the lawyer that handled the case once I found that I had two judgments on my creit report and neither were satisfied. He said that the Freeman development company switched representation and that the first lawyer filed a judgment and then they filed a judgment not knowing that the first lawyer filed one.

The second lawyer filed the judgment for case â??yâ?. When I paid him he gave me a satisfied of judgment in July 2001. However he put the case number â??xâ? on the satisfied of judgment. He went to the judge and called me back. He said the courthouse found the error on the satisfied of judgment and they corrected it in July 2001. Second he vacated the judgment for case â??xâ?. I have already received a copy of the vacated of judgment and a copy of the corrected satisfied of judgment dated July 2001.

** The collections from Anfi are completely incorrect. I paid the account off before I even got the letter from Anfi. Once I got the letter over two years ago, I called and told them it had been paid. I called Anfi three days ago. They apologized and said that they are going to have the listing completely removed. They are also going to send me a copy of the letter that they send the CRA. I have yet to see this copy in the mail.

I had the three CRA and Fico score done at myfico.com. And the matched pretty well. The only difference was experian didnâ??t report both judgments and trans only showed judgment â??x.â? Between the three CRA was some small variation in payment history. About three times one CRA had an r4 and another had r3.

1)How do I handle the judgments and the Afni Collections? I have all the paperwork from the judgments.

2)I would like to hit the wexler collections and the Power credit line with the O5.

3)What strategies do you recommend? I am willing to work really hard.

4)What should I hit first to improve my credit rating?

    My Goals
1)Get a high-end credit card with cash back rewards in about six months. I want get the most for my money.

2)Get a respectable rate for a Condo (under 75k) that I would like to get in a little over a year.

3)Have the best credit I possibly can

I had a really hard time about two years ago. I have always valued my credit. I worked 80 hour (two full time jobs) every week for 8 months to pay off my debt. Shit just happens. I donâ??t think I will ever have a bad mark again. And with you help I hope to achieve my Goals.

Thanks for taking the time to look this over,
    Matt

First things first - if you have any old addresses associated with any negs, get them deleted before disputing anything! Then try your online disputes and see what comes off easily and draft a few validation letters while waiting for your results, just in case.

Do you mean creditors and collectors who don't have my current address or creditors and collectors that have their address wrong on my credit report?

I know that Wexler and Wexler (collections), Famous barr (chrage), and Providian (charge), don't have my current address. If you ment creditors and collectors who don't have my correct address, how do I delete these?

    By mail, fax, internet?

And do I say that the accounts weren't mine or I don't believe I was late when they said I was?

Or if you ment creditors and collectors that have their address wrong on my credit report, how do I find out if they are the wrong address?

    Thanks

I mean in the section on your credit report that shows current and former addresses; if there are former addresses listed have them deleted. You can often do this by calling the CRA and asking the CSR to remove them because they are invalid, or you can fax the same request.

This may help you because when the CRA tries to verify something (if it even tries) the address is one of the items they try to verify, so if the address the creditor gives them does not appear on your report, it may not be verified.

I think you should do that first, then after you see that the addresses (and name variations if you have them) are gone you should start picking your disputes. If the lates are old, it might be okay to try "never late" - I had it work on lates from 98 - check around and see if there are other posts here about your creditor to see how long they keep records like that. Otherwise, I would do "not mine" first and see what happens.

    Good luck!

When I call do I say I never lived there? Or I did live there but I don't want it on my credit report?

Will they send me a updated credit report showing the correction?

    Thanks
    Matt

Well, I sure wouldn't say the latter. Its really your judgement call - but I have just called addresses "invalid" in a fax and that has worked.

They should send you a new report.

I called CSC and TU. Both removed all former address and jobs. TU told me they will send out a new report tomorrow with score. CSC said I will get a new report in about a month. What is up with CSC?

They didn't question me or even try to make me prove anything. I felt like I did a hell of a job by starting off saying my current job listing was wrong. And asking dumb questions like do I have to call the other cra to change their info, who are they?

Anyways I just wanted to know if you guys had the same expierance with CSC. I ordered a copy from experian yesterday. So I will be calling then soon.

    Looking at my report you will see I have;

    two judgements
    two collections
Five LOC that are closed (four with negs)
    Capital One
    Famous Barr
    Illinois Power
    Providian

I have a movement to vacate for one of the judgements(turnberry) and a letter from Anfi CA that says they are going to remove the listing on my report.

Knowing that I am think about going with two phases.

    Phase 1
    ---------
Judgement that is not going to be vacated as
    Not Mine

    Collection
    Wexler and Wexler (already paid)
    Not Mine

LOC - Illinois Power associated with a former add.
    Not Mine

    LOC - Providian
    Not mine

    Phase 2
    ---------
Judgement (only if needed since it should be coming off)

Collection - Anfi (only if needed since it should be coming off)

    LOC- Capital One (Closed)
    Not Mine

    LOC - Famous Barr *
*** Should I say "not mine" or "Never Late"? **

The account is closed at consumer request with a R1. Opened for 34 month. My average lenght of LOC is 31.

Should I keep any of the closed lines of credit with negs? Are any of the moves going to hurt my credit. The only one that I could see is Fammous Barr.

    Capital One - Creditor closed - R1 - 19 months

    Famous Barr - Consumer Closed - R1 - 34 months

    Illinois Power - Consumer Closed - O5 - 22 months

    Providian - Creditor closed - R1 - 24 months

    Thanks
    Matt
