Has anyone ever heard of this company? They have recently hit my CR with 2 hard inquiries. I am dying to call the CRA on Monday to get the 411 on these guys. I want to sue and collect my $2,000. If you have ever heard of them please educate me. Pete
I found two different companies on BBB. One is a long distance company and the other is a direct marketer and product seller that filed for C11 and is no longer in business. So, in your situation it's probably the long distance provider. One person in my office is familiar with them, she received a phone call from them once with an offer to switch to their service, she politely declined and next month she found out that her new LD provider is Talk America. She complained to her old provider and the situation was resolved. I'd watch your LD bill closely next month. PawMix
I'm not sure why you already have hard inqs unless you are or have actually used them under a different name. When I first heard of them they were aol's long distance provider. AKA talk.com I have used them for years, probably four (longest I probably stuck with anyone) and even though I have had my annoyances (with everyyyyy ld and phone co) they have always done what they could to make it right. I do not ever recall having an inquiry with them. It is my understanding that most companies "nowadays" that extend any form of credit are putting a clause in the agreement we "agree with and accept terms of" (but never read the minor details) that allows them to pull credit (thus making it easier for them to collect if we bail on a bill.)
