Ok, I'm frustrated. I FINALLY get a live body at EXP only to be told that if they remove all of my (not valid) addys, then it just might erase my entire credit file. (And the problem is???) She told me she'd have to print out something or other (they don't just change the CR) and send it to me and then I need to speak with a counselor. HUH??? She told me (I have a 3B report) you have a mort. lenders report - what we see here is different. We have all of the addresses (WOW YOU"VE LIVED IN A LOT OF PLACES!!!) and the dates they were entered. So NOW what? I thought this would be the easy part. <sigh> Shanyl
I have TONS of addys on Experian too.. they're difficult to get them to remove via phone, I mailed them a letter highlighting all of them saying that they're incorrect - hopefully they will just delete em.
"Welcome to Experian, how can't we help you" They are so difficult to deal with. You should have told them that address is not yours, you dont know whos it is, and that you dont live there, and ask for it to be deleted. I have had many addresses removed that way over the phone. GOOD LUCK!!!
Hi NyteAngel -- Thanks for sharing. I never once thought it would be so difficult to remove the addresses. From everything I've read here, you tell them it's not your address and boom it's gone. But this person was a broomhilda! She said well what about this address and this address and this one..... Then she told me that if all were deleted, I'd lose my entire credit file and that what I saw on my 3B "lender" report (it wasn't one so I don't know why she thought so....) was different from what they had. I just want the addressed removed like everyone suggested I do THEN I can start disputing. I know that credit repair takes time but I really - REALLY need to get stuff moving fast the first 30 days. I guess I'll just have to be patient and see what happens when they get my letter for the same request - I mailed them last Monday. Thanks again NyteAngel
Hi Want800! I did.... but then she kept going down the list - even told her that I had no idea and gee was it possible to live in a PO Box??? That's when she decided to suspect my file had been mixed with someone elses. Her confusion was that there was only one SSN on my acct. Welcome to the club heh? Shanyl
The only thig I can think of is try calling again, being very firm and confident. Try doing a few at a time then. "Hi, I received a copy of my CR the other day and noticed there were some addresses that werent mine listed. Can you please remove them, as I have never heard of these addresses." I usually say something like that. Then they say they will investigate, and they always come off. GOOD LUCK!!!
Re: Re: Talked to EXP today <sigh>..... I thought I was firm. I thought I was confident. I was a wuss. I had in the back of my head, HOW am I going to convince them that I've never lived there when I had a mortgage at that address. Guess it showed. Onward and upwards! Thanks for the peptalk want800!
