Ok, just talked w/Target twice b/c the first rep was the dumbest rep I've ever talked with. Nice, but contradictory in every statement. Ugh. Not a good sign. The next rep had a bit of life in her I was told they do report all accounts in a 30-90 day window. So... whether they do it monthly or quarterly is up for grabs. Since my acct activated in March, it's reasonable if they're reporting quarterly that I'm not showing up yet. If by the end of June it's not there.. then I'll followup. I do remember an old post that said the first sign of Target on a CR took a few months. As long as it does show up... She didn't know about limits vs. high balances. So when the account shows up we may have to pull a "high balance" transaction or two on them... but at least we know to do it if we have to. Sorry the info isn't very definitive. But that's what I got from them.
Hi Marie... just to let you know...I also opened my Target account in 2/01. I pulled my Equifax and Experian reports at the beginning of 3/01. It was showing on both. But it only shows high balance there is no credit limit listed. also, I just pulled my Equifax report again a couple of days ago..still only shows high balance last report date is 4/01. my statement cycles on the 19th of every month. guess they are like a month behind... hope this info helps... Hi everyone, I have had my Target account since 9/96;by my experience they report to all 3 CRA'S w/highest balance & credit limit,& are VERY current on their reporting timeframe(unlike most 60 day lags). Same thing w/my Mervyn's account that I've had since 3/90. Hope this helps... Sister Girl
I had the target card for about a year, closed it along with many a few months back. Anyway they do report your credit limits to EQ and TU, but only high limit with Experian(maybe they have a citi thing going lol), they sometimes do not update monthly, but when I closed it they reported it right away and if I ever want to open it back up I can just bring my target card to any store and they will reopen on the spot, thought that was kinda neat.
