Hello all my name is Jeremy and I am new to this message board but here goes my first posting:

I applied for a Target Visa/guest card on Sunday June 2, 2002. I was not approved due to the fact that Equifax was used to review my credit report and they were unable to confirm my credit history based on the identifying information used on my application.
The problem is they require a physical address and I do not receive mail at my physical address-I receive it at a PO BOX addy. After countless tries I used my physical address-which I have lived for all 23 years of my life-and this is the response I get!
I really would like a reconcideration to receive the card. Can aany of you expert credit talkers please leave me a plan of action to take and how to get this corrected as I am sure I will qualify for the card.

Thank You, and I look forward to many great postings and valuable sharing of ideas, credit info etc.

Not sure of my credit scores except for Equifax which is 652 as of May 31 2002. (Started off with good college credit-- time progressed towards the end of school-credit worsened around 1999-now on a solid track back to prime-long way ahead though.)

You'll find out I tend to ramble.

I would highly appreciate any welcoming and also any suggestions on how to fix this with Equifax/Retailers. Again I appreciate all help and suggestions.
    Thank you,
    Jeremy

First thing first, what address is on your credit report?

Next, call Retailers National Bank and explain the situtation to them. Make sure that you can offer them proof of address that will match the credit report. I would consider proof being a utility bill.

A 652 is a fair score for the Target guest card.

    Best of luck,
    Mirage

Get a FAX number and FAX them PROOF that you get a bunch of mail at the PO BOX...

I got a 700 LOC with 677 score on Equifax. Applied on line, and approved online.

Thanks I just think this is a great website. I will go through to them and call them and see if I can get this taken care of over the phone. Again this has been very helpful. Looking forward to more postings on this mb.

Called Target and they have archived my application--it has only been 26 days since applying!!!!!!!!!! I was informed they do have problems with the online application process-maybe with regards to my address situation, well she said they can do a few things but was unable to elaborate since my report was not available for access. They said to call back within 24-48 hours and they are in on the weekends til midnight central time. I hope they can fix this situation for me,and I don't think they should have to pull a new inquiry as this was not my fault.
