A few weeks ago I posted that when I got my Target card, I noticed on the letter it said something like, "call this number if you want additional cards." Well my oldest son is just starting out with his job and college, so I call and asked for a card for him, hoping it would help him out. Since the lady only asked me for the name I wanted on the card and if the mailing address would be the same as mine (yes), we debated here as to whether this was simply a courtesy card or if it gets reported. Well, today he checked again for his CR, (Poor fellow has never had a CRA identity file) and "lo" there it was: his name, address, AND SSN (though I never gave it to her), and the last transaction. It was under "Dayton Hudson" and showed it as a joint account. But the credit limit ($400) was not reported and it states it is a charge card -- not a credit card. Anyway, for those of you who wondered, it's very easy to add a joint user to your Target account so maybe this will help you or your friends.
