I applied online last May for a Target card and was denied. I thought I tried only for the Guest Card but I could be mistaken. That was ten months ago. My scores are around 660s and I've since gotten an Exxon card, Dillards, and a 2nd Capitol One card. I would love to try again for the Target card but don't want to waste the hard again. Anyone have any luck on their second go-round with Target?
RNB is usually pretty lax with their approval standards for the guest card. In fact, I had several outstanding negative accounts (unpaid), and scores around where they are now (low to mid 500's) and got approved, and even got an increase. Their Visa, on the other hand, is MUCH harder to get. Do you recall the reason for declination the last time? That might help you to gauge whether it is worth applying or not: if you feel that you have overcome that reason, go ahead and apply; if not, then don't. A. J.
i got turned down w/high 600/low 700 scores...when i got the decline letter there was no reason given. LOL
I got approved for the Target guestcard in 1998 when I had a chp 7 on there (discharged 1992) that was 6 yrs old. So, I would try cause it seemed pretty easy to get the guest card!
