I applied and was approved for a target guest card. Stupid me opted to only apply for the guest card when I did instant credit. They approved me for 300 to start (which I hear is 100 more than most on instant credit). I have read that target may upggrade to visa, but I didn't know what guidelines they use. My eq fico is okay. I have 3 paid collections and an OLD OLD bk. For those of you that converted, were your reports clean at the time? Thanks for the input.
I was told by target credit services that an existing account needs to be 6-12 months old before it can be bumped to Target visa (if you qualify for it) or a credit limit increase. I tried for a credit limit increase through the automated system and received a letter saying "your account was opened too recently."
Well, I suck, lol...I applied online for Target visa...Big D! I guess I will just wait for them to send me info on converting it when I qualify.
i got approved for 200 and ran a big charge a month or so later..they increased me to 500 on my next statement
