I just spoke with a rep at EQ who told me that they had actually sent someone to the county clerk office to look at the documents in person. I had disputed once as not mine, it came back verified, and then i disputed the dates as being inaccurate. I believe that the dates are inaccurate, though the clerks office told me on the phone that their dates match what the report shows. I'm searching for my cancelled check. But, it seems that not all of it is done electronically or by telephone.
Is this an affilate to of Equifax? I know our local CRA will do that, if it is within a short distance. At this point if Equifax has verified it and the court says it is correct the only thing you can do is locate the missing check. If you no longer have the original check, your local bank should be able to send you a copy, but there is usually a research fee involved. Good luck. Dani
What do you mean by affiliate? I spoke directly with Equifax, and that is what they told me...I'm going home to look for the check.
