i don't mean to be rude or anything, but your tagline offends me.

"exposure to the son may prevent buning", as I assume it to mean, is that beleving in J.C. prevents going to hell.

I am jewish, and while I respect all religious beleifs, I find it offensive to read that after every post.

I think that religous-fevor has a place, but not on CN.

Sorry if I'm being too harsh......

    Nestea,

The board has an ignore feature that allows you to ignore any poster. There is no reason (except your own choice) for you to be continually offended by anyone's tagline.

    hmm.

I have nothing against him, and appreciate his (her?) posts, so I don't want to do that as my first choice..

however, depending on how he responds, perhaps I will...

but its a possibility that when he finds out that another CN member respectfully requests he not always put that tagline he will understand........

Well, in that case CN offers you another option that allows you to suppress the signature lines so you don't have to be offended by anyone's, yet you may still read everyone's posts.

There are all kinds of options on this board to accommodate everyone.

Just click on the account button above to modify your account.

    Here's a description of the feature :

    Display signatures in posts?

Every member can have a custom signature which appears at the end of their post. Do you want to see those signatures when you read through the messages? Choosing 'no' will suppress display of all signatures including your own.

Since you say you respect other religious beliefs I don't understand why it is you are so offended then by someone expressing their belief!

    It is refreshing...

...to have someone respond on a public board who isn't afraid of their faith.

Do you follow everyone with "Jesus Saves" bumper stickers to tell them their car is offensive to you? Freedom of speech applies everywhere, including this board. This thread does not belong on creditnet.

Just my opinion- I could be wrong.

I recommend thick skin it will save you a lot of time and effort rather than regularly being offended and wasting others time with your problems(can you tell, I'm offended;)

I'm Jewish too, and I could care less about how one chooses to identify himself or herself in their own tagline. I just hope that others on this board don't believe that this complainer typifies all Jewish people because he (or she) certainly doesn't. Although this thread doesn't "offend" me, I will say that I find it ridiculous and reprehensible. Somehow I also find it funny as well, if that's possible. :)

    Doc

P.S. to Nestea: If you're going to block the other member because of the tagline, please do me the favor of blocking me as well. I'd rest easier knowing that some narrow-minded whiner isn't going to risk being offended by my postings. Thanks.

Liptons being offended by teas tag line is out of order.
You don't suppress ones freedom of speech to sooth being offended.
Let Lipton state their beliefe in their own tag line -don't demand tea stop theirs.

Trout, on behalf of fish-lovers everywhere, i must tell you that your drawing of a fish offends me.

If you must include a drawing of a fish, please make sure the size of the fins is realistic; after all, you know how sensitive we are about the size of our fins.
