I was wondering if anyone knows of any kind of relationship between Telecheck and Innovis? In the course of a lawsuit I have against Telecheck, they produced a letter I sent them, but what is really odd is that there is a fax line across the top of my letter that has the date. time, telephone number and business name "INNOVIS MARKETING". Who the heck is Innovis Marketing and why do they have my letter? I sent this letter directly to Telecheck last year and it contains my name, address, ss#, drivers license number and bank account number. Their attorney said they are using Innovis' fax server. Does this make sense? I really don't like my personal information floating around to different companies, and not utilized for the intended purpose. I don't know much about computers and fax servers, so does this explaination sound right to you? Wouldn't Telechecks fax server be in their own name?
It sounds like hogwash. New Consumer Reporting Agency Emerges A company called Innovis Data Solutions announced its plans to begin selling personal information it has collected on millions of individuals. By marketing and selling credit reports on consumers, Innovis joins the ranks of the three largest credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. In contrast to these other credit reporting agencies, however, Innovis's Web site provides little information on its current activities. The company also has a history of secrecy. In the past, Innovis distanced itself from consumers by stating that consumers are not adversely affected by reports the company sells on them. Innovis traditionally sold credit reports not to lenders, but to direct marketers of credit, loans, and other products and services. Innovis site: http://www.innovis.com EPIC's Credit Report page: http://www.epic.org/privacy/fcra/ ------------------------------------------- (Look under 04/01/06 green-flagged "I Have My Innovis in Hand") This is from '02 here and the thread continues. My question is..."and you make money...how??" It sure looks like you make money selling the collected data: www.innovis-cbc.com/products.htm Though it says under Fail Safe - "unfavorable", I see nothing unfavorable about the listing in my report. I wonder if just having a listing with Innovis is considered "unfavorable"...maybe I should dispute this. Also I found this interesting: www.innovis-cbc.com/about.htm
