After you type out your response, but before you press the "submit reply" button, highlight all of your response using the mouse, then click on "EDIT" > "COPY" in the internet explorer toolbar.

This way you'll have all of your typing and can do an "EDIT" > "PASTE" if necessary to retype your post!

lets see how long THIS takes....it took something like two months just to get a response.

when did they receive your letter? did you tell them you were disputing or did you just ask for a report?

Don't just wait and see if/when they respond. I would give them 30 days to respond. if they dont, (and depending on what your last letter said) write them again, giving them 15 days to a) delete the TL and reinstate your check writing priveleges, and b) provide you with your report, showing the deletion, or you'll sue.

    this is baloney.

If they are not responding promptly within the required time periods, file an FTC complaint. They will forward it.

There's a not-so long story as to how I came up with that screen name.
I play online multi-player games, of which my favorite was Battlefield 1942. I went under a different name, which I retired. In the game, I started out as an enlisted person, like Private Gomer Pyle. I shortened it to Pvt. Pyle. As the game progressed, and strategy developed, along with skills, I started promoting myself. I became Sgt. Pyle, then CWO Pyle.

From my time in the real service, I realize that the commissioned personnel had a lot more fun (like flying jets, what I WANTED to do) so I appointed my own commission. I then transformed to Lt. Pyle, Maj. Pyle, RADM Pyle, etc.

I decided that Pyle wasn't cutting it. So I changed to a funny name. Col. K0rn. like the food, and the military ranking.

I know, I'm wierd. But the name sticks, and I find it funny. People remember it. BTW, it's not an "O", it's a zero...something one of my buddies calls "leet" or l33t.

ok, we are SO hijacking this thread, (sorry jenz!)

I thought your screen-name referenced KoRn, as in the band. They spell it with a backwards "R", like this: KoÃ?n. (It IS a backwards R when i type it into the message window, but when it posts it turns into some weird looking "B"--but who cares.)

anyway, I really like the band, so that was the first thing I thought of when i saw korn spelled with a k.

I feel really stupid now, because I should've gotten the 'corn kernel/col. korn' thing. cute.

I'll not tell how my screen name evolved until after my pending litigation with a particular CA has come to an end.

ok, back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I'm coming in on the end here but everyone has helped me so much and I found some information that might help out Jenz.

Telecheck is a subsidiary of a company called First Data. Evidently, First Data is one of the US's largest credit card transaction companies,

Further: First Data Corporation is traded on the NYSE - meaning BOARD of Directors. I bet if you fax them your complaint you'll have a miracle!

    First Data Corp.
    6200 S. Quebec St.
    Greenwood Village, CO 80111
    303-967-8000
    Toll Free: (800) 735-3362
    303-967-6701 (fax)

    First Data Corp Officers:
    CEO Charles T. Fote
    CFO Kimberly Patmore

Anyhow, here's some more impt info on telecheck:

Here is what their privacy statements says on their site:

"We believe that information used responsibly benefits consumers and the economy, whether it is information we house on consumers conducting transactions or consumer information we collect on behalf of or from our customers. For example, we use consumer information every day to ensure fast and accurate approval and processing of payment transactions, including check and credit and debit card transactions."

"The policies outlined below guide us in the collection and use of non-public personal information as well as employee responsibilities in protecting your privacy. We use non-public personal information about consumers only in a manner consistent with these policies. TeleCheck is also a consumer reporting agency as defined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act ("FCRA"), a federal law enacted to protect consumers from inappropriate use of certain of their personal information. In addition to TeleCheck's own privacy policy, TeleCheck's use of certain personal information about consumers is also subject to the requirements of the FCRA."

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)

    And I loved this:
"WE MAINTAIN PROCEDURES TO ASSURE THE QUALITY OF INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND WHERE APPLICABLE, WE WILL INFORM CONSUMERS ABOUT HOW THEY CAN ACCESS THEIR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND MAKE CORRECTIONS, IF NECESSARY . . . TeleCheck employs appropriate measures to assure the quality of information we collect. Pursuant to the FCRA, upon a consumer's request, TeleCheck permits a consumer to obtain a copy of their credit report and certain of the sources of the information contained in the consumer report TeleCheck maintains with respect to the consumer, and to dispute or correct inaccurate or incomplete information, or unverifiable information, contained in the credit report. You may request a copy of your consumer report by writing to TeleCheck Services, Inc., 5251 Westheimer, Houston, TX 77056 or by contacting one of our customer service representatives at 1-800-366-2425. You will need to provide your state driver's license number, Social Security number, and/or bank (MICR) numbers from the bottom of your check so that we can access your credit report. To protect your privacy and security, we will require proper identification before granting access or making corrections. We reserve the right to assess a service charge for providing you with this information, subject to the FCRA."

"WE HOLD OURSELVES ACCOUNTABLE TO OUR PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
TeleCheck is committed to meeting the highest standards for our privacy program. To that end, TeleCheck has appointed a senior official, who serves as the company-wide officer with responsibility for the administration and implementation of the TeleCheck privacy program.

The TeleCheck officer, working closely with individual business units, is responsible for:

    Administering employee privacy training and employee compliance related to TeleCheck's Privacy Policies;

Conducting periodic assessments of TeleCheck's compliance with its Privacy Policies, as well as specific implementation policies and procedures; and Ensuring that TeleCheck actively participates in appropriate privacy activities, including self-regulatory initiatives.

If you have any questions or comments about the TeleCheck Online Privacy Statement, or for some reason believe we have not adhered to our statement, please contact:

    TeleCheck Corporate Headquarters
    1-800-835-3243"

President and CEO of Telecheck is Charles D. Drucker and the CFO and controller is Jennifer Johnson. Director of External Communications is Rodney D. Bell.

Telecheck has a Dunn & Bradstreet listing which should allow you to file a complaint with them. Now you might want to wait till you get your court findings - but the secret behind filing the complaint with D&B is that THEY directly affect THEIR credit rating, What might it do? Who knows but maybe just maybe it'll give them back a bit of what they've given you. Every bit helps you know?

Oh and in case you don't have it, here is Telecheck's fax # 713-331-7740.

    Go get 'em!
