I read all the time that when you try settling a debt to ask for deletion. I have tried this over and over and over. Also tried to get it to show never late. They never accept. I have offered full payment to one and they still refused. Please tell me how you have done it.
Sometimes this can backfire,When a person offers to settle a debt say for 60 cents on the dollar with the condition of a deletion it let's the collection agency know you are concerned with what is on your report.Which in turn can cause the collection agency to ask for more $. I am not sure what is the best way to handle this situation.I am sure to make sure to ALWAYS get everything in writing(up front before sending any $) as collection agencies WILL lie then have you send in money then ask for more!
