I am so tempted to apply for Citi AA after reading about how easy it is to get.

Here is a snapshot of my credit profile:

TU 633 - My TU report has a collection account of about 5K that I just found out. I have negotiated to get it off at the end of when I pay it off. There is also a 1 time 30-day late from 1997. 1 inquiry in the last 18 months.

Creditexpert 681 - The only blemish on this report is the 1 time 30-day late payment. 3 inquiries, recent one was in 3/2000.

EQ- no clue. I have a paid Verizon charge-off and the 1 time 30-day late payment.

    I make about $85K/year.

Should I apply now wait for my TU collection account to be settled?

    Thanks.

I have 3 inquiries, the most recent one is from 1/2000.

Put everything negative on Equifax in dispute (they pulled Equifax for me, check MillCbs for your situation) and apply away. Good luck.

I applied for the Citi aa silver and gold 3 weeks ago and rec'd both with $5,500 limits on each. They pulled TU and I had a 594 TU score with two unpaid collections ($100&$150 med bills unpaid). I also had a LOC at 91% of limit.
I would say your in good shape unless they have some type of auto denial for BKs

My collection account on TU is pretty big so I don't want to take a chance and risk and an inquiry. I will take care of that and I am guaranteed there will be negative remark on that tradeline after I take care of it. I will hold off and apply at the end of the month.

    LEFT SIDE...

Try silver...if you get it, try gold in ten to twenty minutes...
If you get both, when the cards come, call to combine credit limits BEFORE they are "ACTIVATED"...
If you want to, trade later for PLATINUM SELECT.

Your credit limits this way will be MUCH higher than applying for the PLATINUM SELECT...(OR DENIED OUT-RIGHT) like I was because I didn't try it the "ROUND-ABOUT-WAY"...

...AND PEOPLE HAVE SAID THEY DON'T GIVE CREDIT LIMIT INCREASES VERY OFTEN OR GIVE VERY MUCH OF ONE...

    NOT WORLD CARD!!!

I'd say do it. George gave ya some good info on how to. I tried for AAdvantage and AAdvantage Gold today and was approved for both w/ 6500 and 5000 limits respectively. (not sure why gold was lower....maybe cuz I applied for it first?) Anyhow, I'm only showing 1 inquiry pulled from Experian w/ a score of 668.

Just waiting to combine and convert to platinum select in a few days. :)

Let us know how it works out!

CITIBANK HAS IT IN FOR ME...and I am afraid of rejection...

    1993-1995 I HAD 2 CARDS, BUT I DUMPED THEM...
    SO THEY AUTOMATICALLY DENY ME...

    :(

They also denied my wife (PLATINUM SELECT) and she had a 741 F.I.C.O.
