I am so happy. Three years ago I had a credit score of [maybe] 450. I felt like such a loser, I know I shouldn't, but I did. I mean, when you get your score, they compare you to the rest of the population and I just couldn't believe that I had worse credit than 85% of the American population, but I did. And now, I am buying a home with 5.62% 30 year fixed, I am buying a car with 6.99%, I actually have a Discover Platinum, an Amex BlueCash, a Musician's Union and a Bank of America Platinum. Even with a 120+ from Providian - granted that was from some years ago. But still. I want to cry when I think where I am as opposed to where I was. And I couldn't have done it without this forum. I honestly don't know what my scores are now, but I am just happy to be able to go forward in my life at 41 and feel like I have been given a second chance at what everybody else takes for granted. Thanks again. p.s. I have made Save Karyn (the book) mandatory reading in my household for my teenagers that want a credit card. It is a MUST BUY.!!
