I just wanted you all to know that I now qualify for a home loan!! I have been pre-qualified ( I KNOW it's not preapproval) for a nice home. I have the choice of going FHA or conventional, both at 7%. The seller has accepted my offer, and this process has really accelerated! My lender was very impressed with the changes in my credit report from April to June ("Bravo!" was the word she used), and my scores went from requiring letters of explanation for everything, to no letters of explanation required at all. I want to thank everyone for their insight and advice - I have searched other boards for this type of assistance, but CreditNet is by far the best!!! Wish me luck! kjoe REAL Mortgage Scores: TU - 646 EQ - 633 EXP - 629
Congrats Kjoe! Just curious... how do your "real" scores match up with the scores you got from other sources? Just wondering if I can look at my score from myfico.com and breath a sigh or relief or if I should think they were just being generous. I imagine the answer to that is a resounding "neither". The more I read the more it sounds like there is no rhyme or reason to the credit scoring system. Thanks, G
