I just wanted to thank everyone on this board for helping me achieve my goal. I would have never done this without all the help from you guys! I promised my father four months ago that I would work to fix his credit for him and today I finally met with some successes. Here was the situation in 4/03: all three bureaus had similar information that mattered. Two judgments, three 30-day lates on two separate accounts, nine inquiries on TU and EFX and four on EQU. Balances were high but not too far out of average. Four months later, the baddies are gone, only one judgment remains on the EXP file. Whether they'll come back or not I know not (hope they won't!!!) but it's possible. And the scores? -------------------------- EQU 620 ---> 777 EXP 628 ---> 683 TU 647 ---> 749 -------------------------- I'm not sure if the results are typical and I will freely admit that I got lucky on some of these with how quickly they came off. But the key was being persistent and playing their game. And there is a LOT of truth to the scores jumping when the last baddie comes off -- in this case the last jump was about 80 points!! Most importantly, I learned a lot about credit and how to use it as a tool and make it work for me, which is a useful life lesson for sure.
