Just to let the board know, I'm another happy camper with Mr. Miller.

I have 2 accounts, and today just by placing a phone call he granted me a $ 700.00 increase on one account and $ 400.00 on the other.

Over the hills and thru the woods to the nearest department store I go...:)

Both accounts are about 1.5 years old. They both are just your basic unsecured classic account.

Six months ago, I called and received $1000.00 increase on both.

As it has been echoed on this board, with Cap 1 it is extremely important that your payments are received by the due date, and you don't go over your limit by even .01 cent. If you manage this, call the consumer advocates' office, and they probably will give you an increase every six months or so.

    Hopes this helps.

PS. Be bold, and state how much of an increase you are looking for.

Not true in my case. I have a perfect payment history since 1996.

I called Mr. Cooke and requested a sizable increase. With my permission he pulled a hard inquiry. No go, only got the normal $300 increase.

I do have a bk-13 on file and that was the reason my request was not granted. As many others here have written, if you maintain good history with Cap 1 other Capital One credit card offers will arrive, eg. K-Mart, Gold Cap 1

I myself have never received any other offers from Capital One.

    Best regards,
    Mirage

I dealt with Mr. Miller in May he was very generous, this summer I could only reach Mr. Cooke.

    Is Mr. Miller really Back?

Maybe it is time to call again.

i'vr had my cap one card since 10/00. I have yet to receive any offers from them. When I pulled my cr report in 10/01 i saw 3 soft inquires (PRM's) mid-part this year. i have a perfect (going on 14 months) history with them. No lates (always use online pay system), my acc. went overlimit twice, but both times they were credited back. Once I requested extention of credit, was almost at my limit and car broke down away from home, and second time was over by .63 cents, but it came from a gas charge ( u know how the pumps authorize a dollar then post the remaining chrges later) that happened to post the same day as my finance chrg did, and it was credited back (o/l charge). i've had 3 cr line increases so far, totaling $700. next time i'm asking for a apr decrease and substantial limit incr.
