i sent my first validation letter to a ca and let me tell you guys it felt great!!!!! maybe this guy will stop stalking me on my job. i just wanted to thank everyone here for all their help!!!!! and insert a quick question if the ca doesnt repsond in 30 days can they still try to collect???
The answer to your quesion is - it depends. If you sent the validation letter withiin 30 days of receiving their 1st notice to you, then yes, they must cease collection until they validate. If you sent it after the 30 days, then they still must validate within 30 days but they can still try to collect. If they don't validate within 30 days, then they must stop collecting.
they havent posted anything on any of my reports and that is what i am trying to avoid... so i sent the letter yesterday and the now report it or must they first validate it? and now that i have sent his letter can this jerk still call me a 100 times at work
If you put a cease and desist notice in the validation then they may not contact you. I believe they must now validate it before they can proceed any further.
