Much thanks for the good advice posted on this board. I've been a member/lurker for a little over 1 year. Today, I purchased a 2002 Jetta GLX VR6, my rate could be described as higher than what I would like, but still okay (not 12, 13, 14, 15% or more). Perhaps in a year or so I will try to refinance and obtain better terms. BUT, hey, in December, I was approved for 15% w/ Household Auto, said, "no thanks" to that and waited. I went through E-Loans -- it could only be described as a painless process.

Thanks and keep the positive information going!

excellent choice! your rate is typical for the first time buyer program so don't feel bad.

MT, can you share some of your experiences which helped you get to where you are now?

Mist, that is a good idea. I will do that -- though I need to run right now, so I'll type it up tonight. Perhaps during Madonna's 'Drowned World Tour' on HBO. :)

Congrats. I refinanced my 13.9% Household loan to a another lender thru the state farms auto refinance program dropping it to 7.5%. This loan was 7 months old.
