You all probably don't recall but I asked for advice concerning Coldata. I received several letters from them regarding a charge-off that was almost 10 years old. They were demanding full payment or else! I wrote the letter stating that I was not aware of the account;however, if the account is from 1992 it's past limitations. I threaten to sue them if the continued to write me or place the account on my report. Since the day I received postal confirmation that Coldata reeceived my letter, I have not heard from them!

No it isn't. The account fell off my report a few years ago;however, Coldata was asking for payment. For one thing, this was my ex-wife account. So, you bet I was not going to pay it!

I am currently involved in a class action lawsuit against them. If you still have all the letters you received from them, let me know.. if you want more information, I can do that for you. I can forward you to my attorney as well. My email is ender510@yahoo.com

    killer,

Coldata used to sent me collection notice for collecting some old charge-offaccounts. My brother told me if collection account is not your report and ignored them. They sent me dozen of collection letters and it all went to shredder.

Yea..I haven't heard from them since I sent the letter and probably won't. Sounds like they trick uneducated consumers into paying uncollectable and unreportable debts.
