Thanks to all of you for your advice,I was so scared I would goto jail if I stopped paying on my card.I can hardly afford my house payments much less grocerys and credit card..again thank you..
Everyone wishes you well, but I hope that even without the fear of jail you will still take your debt seriously. Think about things like minimum payments, payment plans, and frequent communication with Providian. If you quit charging on your card, the payment necessary to keep you afloat may not be very big. Other things are more important, obviously, but a good credit record will be nice to have in the future.
