Will I ever be able to wipe my hands clean of this bank? Wouldn't you know it, I need copies of checks that I wrote from my X.com account to verify a payment that was made. Anyone have any idea how I can get copies of these checks. Anyone with experience with a closed bank where you needed to get check copies. Does the Federal Reserve keep check copies? Also do you know any other boards I can post this on, that might have an answer to this question. Thanks in advance, Toni
The actual underlying bank is still in business. First Western something or other in Colorado. Try going back through your records and you should be able to find it. This kinda sh** is why I won't use Paypal either. It's the same company and I refuse to patronize any company that has caused me as much trouble as they have. Hey! There's another avenue of inquiry. Call up Paypal and see if they can steer you towards some sort of solution. But, remember, even if they help you, they're still SOB's.
If it were me I would go to my current bank and ask them how I would go about getting copies from a bank that is closed. If anybody would know the procedure it would be another bank. Right? Tuit
