I had a 608 then my last collection was deleted. Went up to 665. Then 2 inqs were deleted and it went up to 687. There is no logic to this, I tell you.
ttowns, I have read several posts that indicated that the deletion of the last neg item was worth HUGE points. It somehow reclassifies your whole file in the FICO calculation. It has been my experience that the deletion of the inquiry on credit exp is worth 2-3 points per inq. Oh well, it is 7 points that you didn't have before! Oh yea, you did have them before. You lost them with the inquiry. Oh well, good for you!
I was expecting the huge jump from the posts that I have read here. You know what's funny? I spoke to Vicki Banks in the Consumer Affairs office of EQ and she told me that I wouldn't have a score because after my last derog was deleted I wouldn't have anything to give me a score. I only have one positive item, but that doesn't seem to matter on TU, as it shows only the one good tradeline as well and my score is 687. So I have no clue what she's talking about. When I commented that I wanted to get the last derog off because most creditors choose Equifax, she said, "Yes, we're the BIG DOG". I almost fell out of my seat.
