I have a Visa from The Associates and was wondering if they raise your credit limit? and if so how long before they do?
Once you have the Visa can you get the Mastercard too?
    thanks for your help,
    Gary

I had this card for about 4 months and they automatically raised my limit a whopping $175, I almost have this paid and I am closing it, too high on an interest rate for me. Don't know about the mastercard, sorry.

I have an Associate Platinum, interest rate is 9.9% APR, it is a Visa card. I do not know about their MasterCard. They have not given me a line increase in a while, currently it is $10,300.

Sometimes you have to ask. Pay the card all the way down to zero, then use it a little and pay the bill in full for a couple of months. Then call or write customer service and request an increase. Make sure you have had the card for at *least* six months before you ask. When I have done this with other credit card issuers, they either give the increase, or they send a declination letter explaining why not.

Also, credit card issuers will generally allow customers to have both a Visa and MasterCard, if they qualify.
