I'm am SOOO upset. But I think when it's all over, I'm gonna be happy spending Equifax's money. They have resinserted over 8 derogs on my report after they guaranteed me that derogs were nowhere to be found on my report and now they ARE showing.

On top of that they lied and said all the creditors rerported these tradelines which I know is a lie due to settlement agreements and liability reasons.

On top of that they deleted a good tradeline.

On top of that I was just denied credit based solely on my Equifax reports stating the outstanding collections on my reports which are not valid and I have proof from the creditors removing such AND Equifax denied repeatedly the items were not on my report.

I've had with them. You guys think I should retain a lawyer for this one ? Small claims just won't due in this case. I'd like a jury case seeking damages around the ~20K mark for each violation + defamation of character.

I'm open for input, in the meantime, I'm putting together the outline of my suit to save some work for an attorney should I retain one.

The bad thing about this is Equifax lied MANY times about these tradelines and I have the proof.

    Thanks

Go apply for a mortgage to get some real damages... then turn it over to ed combs.

The more damages you can find the better. The mortgage idea is great then you can really go after them for big bucks. If you proceed correctly Equifax may just pay for you a NEW home :)

edoggie, I had 2 reinserted with Equifax 3 days ago. The first creditor lives in the same city I do, not a problem. The 2nd screwed me after the account was verified "included in bankruptcy" and stayed that way for 11 months. 3 days ago Equifax changed it back to a balance and 120+ My problem is nothing compared to yours. If you are 8 times more pissed off than I am right now then you probably know how to drive to Equifax at this point. Good luck and go for it!

That's easier said than done Dixie.

Combs doesn't always know a good case, even when it jumps up and bites him squarely in the butt.

    lol

    Well luckily,

I'm a new home owner :) so that idea is gone. However I do have a denial letter from a creditor and more are probably on the way.

I know this is a good case and when I'm done hopefully Equifax will either get their act straight OR furnish my home OR both.

    edoggie,

nothing beats a mortgage GFE showing higher rates for even a refinance to show big damages in court. But if you're still hesitant. Call around to local banks and CUs to see who specifically pulls that CRA. And then apply for a line of credit for a specific amount like $20,000 at 9.9% or whatever their lowest rate is. That way you can get it in writing, have someone to testify in person or provide an affadavit, that you were directly declined due to info. on their report.

    There is no "ed combs"

You know what I meant... the guys actual name is Daniel Edleman I think... ed combs is just shorter to type and I'm pretty sure edoggie knows who I'm talking about.

    What about that Swayzak guy?
