Hello all, After fighting with the CA's and CB's about 5 accounts left to take off my report. I gave up the last 4 months. All 3 CB's respond with verified account belongs to you. So I guess they was calling me liar. I tried the on-line dispute lastly and still came back verified. I am having the hardest time getting these last 5 accounts totaling about 4k in debt off my credit. I thought about negotiating, but it seems that others here haven't really had to do the negotiating so why should I? I am really stuck left thinking what should I do next. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.
I have sent the validation letters to the CA's no response so I should send this to the CB's and then what?
If you've only sent one letter per CA then you haven't gone far enough yet. The next step is sending the estoppel letter to each CA, CRRR. Create a paper trail. Rack up violations. Make the CA's nervous. By sending one letter then backing off the CA figures you gave up, and they'll just go ahead and verify with the CRA (which BTW that there could be your first violation, and a second violation could be that the CA's did not place your account 'in dispute' after they received your validation letter. I suggest you start writing up estoppel letters for each CA, and send copies of the signed green cards to show them you're tracking your requests to them. Also, if you have proof, you could also tell the CA's that they've violated the FCRA by not placing the account in dispute.
