Ok expert CreditNetters....I started working on repairing my credit in 2/2002 (had to take a break for several months and just started again). Here is what I had:

    Transunion - 18 negatives - 10 positive
    Equifax - 21 negatives - 6 positive
    Experian - 24 negatives - 5 positive

All reports had CH7, collections, charge offs, included in bankruptcy and late pays.

As of now, I have the following:

    Transunion - 1 negative - 16 positive
    Equifax - 3 negatives - 9 positive
    Experian - 7 negatives - 15 positive

    I have the following left:

Providian - Charge Off - $1071 - All 3 reports. Not sure if it was sold, but FMS has it now. Waiting for something in writing to validate.

Certified Collectors - Paid Collection - $39 - I just recently paid this off. When I paid, I was told that it would be deleted. I didn't get it in writing, and now they won't (stupid me, I knew better). Only on Experian and Equifax.

BK7 - filed 9/1999. Managed to get removed from TransUnion, but still on Equifax and Experian.

Credit Union - Included in BK. Only on Experian.

Capital One - Included in BK. Disputed off of Equifax and TransUnion, still on Experian.

Orchard - Charge Off - $703 - Not sure if it was sold, but Midland Credit had it first, I sent letters, but they never validated. Disputed with the CRA's, and the Midland entry was removed. Now, the infamous Wolpoff & Abramson has it. I sent them a validation letter about 15 days ago. May have a little ammo on them, they called me after I had received the green card back (continuing collection after dispute). Orchard TL disputed off of Equifax and TransUnion, Experian still has it.

Wells Fargo Mortgage - Included in CH13. I never filed a CH13. I managed to get this off of Equifax and TransUnion, but it's still on Experian.

So, I have a plan for Orchard and Providian, at least the CA's. The other ones I'm not sure about. I have disputed them all at least twice, and now I just get the "previously investigated" letters. I can't do online disputes through Experian any more, I get the "previously investigated" message.

    I've removed all previous addresses.

I'm afraid I'm pretty stuck with the Credit Union entry, it was a company credit union (in the same building and everything).

I've come a long way, but I still have a few more miles to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've managed to get 2 First Premier cards (I dislike them very much), 2 Capital One Platinum cards and a Household card. I have excellent auto loan history, several paid off, plus a current one. Student Loans are paid current, went through Rehabilitation last year. I haven't been late on anything for over 2 years now.

This board is awesome. There are so many wonderful stories of people putting their lives back together....and it gives me hope. It's incredibly hard not to get discouraged (I know, play the tiny violin).

    Thanks!

I am around 580 on Equifax and 620 on TransUnion. I'm not sure what my Experian score is.

You were able to get 2 more Capital One cards after you included them in a bk? I am impressed! I didn't think they would do that.

Because I have Cap 1 reporting on all 3 of my DH's reports, do you remember how you disputed it to get them off? I am starting to think we are going to have to wait until 2007 to get it deleted. This is the only negative he has on TU and EQF.

I'm not sure how I did that either. I bet I get at least 1 offer from Capital One a week too, even after 2 cards.

I disputed it as "not mine". I think it took twice on Equifax, but it was the first on TransUnion. Experian is being a pest though.

Those are some good results. I keep getting the same message from EXP. Not sure how to proceed.I requested procedure from them and getting the run around on that. Small claims might be the answer.

I've been told that after a certain period like 60-90 days the computer resets itself and you can then dispute.

I'm still hoping that I can get all of this cleared up in 6 more months (or less if I'm really lucky).

My investigations were from last year, and I'm still not able to do them online with Experian.

Anyone out there that can give me some guidance?

I talked to a guy in my town who has had success with requesting procedure and then suing EXP in small claims for not complying. The idea is they will delete prior to going to court.

It looks like I'm gonna have to try this myself.

Have you tried the nutcase series on the paid collection?

I haven't tried the nutcase yet, but that's an excellent idea...I'll give that a whirl. I can't really cause any more harm at this point.

I did try to send the owner of the company (it's local) an email on 2 different occasions and didn't get any where. I also sent an email to the newspaper (it was a classified ad charge), and haven't heard a word.
