OK, so I dispute a few things with EFX, and they say, yeah, you're right. And now my report is cleaner. On the back it states that once an investigation results in a change, you have the right to request your revised credit file to any company that received your credit report in the past six months. So what good is the right to resubmit? FYI, what got me on this rave in the first place is Circuit City. While they are on the CC after BK list I was recently declined. The whole process was a fiasco, and I never really did get anyone to give me a specific reason for the decline. (My BK is 8 years old, no recent derogatories). One of the possible reasons I thought I was perhaps declined is too many inquiries. I had three recent inquiries deleted because they were listed as hard's and were all from companies I do business. Also had one old derog fall off. So I figure this should bump me up a few points. So I called Circuit City, said that I was declined in December, pulled a copy of my CR and had some inaccurate information deleted. I said that I was requesting the CRA agency send them an updated copy of the CR, and I was hoping they would reconsider. I was told, go back to the store and re-apply. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she was very unsympathetic. Basically said, oh well. So what go is the right to resubmit a corrected credit report if the creditor is under no obligation to look at it?
