Suddenly EQ has my maiden name instead of my new name. I just got my split file merged, now this. ((((SIGH))))
Do ANY of your creditors report you using you former name? Even accts you have closed long ago but are still on the rpt? That may be the reason that it's popped up again. Or it could be that their system isn't functioning properly. What else is new?
TU just put in an address from 8 yrs ago as my current. Thank god they didn't do that last month, because it's the address I was at when I had the judgements against me! I have to get it all straightened out. My current address has suddenly disappeared, and this old one that was never on there before has suddenly appeared. they are so dumb!
Their morons... CSC (Equifax) sent me a report on 8/1 saying they had correctly updated my DOB. The report from my investigation that was printed on 8/2 had the DOB wrong again already! In a report they sent dated 8/14, they managed to finally report the correct DOB, but screwed the address up again. The street name is missing one letter, 'SINT' instead of 'SAINT.' (The lady at Target must have been having a bad day.) The funniest part is that the letter they always send with these reports has the address correct! I think what happens there is whenever an update happens, any data in the file they send gets updated too, so if they have an incorrect address or DOB, etc, that's what gets updated as current. Experian had one year yonger for a long time. And when my report got pulled three times by a broker shopping my loan (damnit!) they managed to add three new addresses to Experian, two with completely wrong zip codes. The CRA's will take any creditor's data as the gospel, but if you want them to update with the actual correct info they want three forms of ID and a blood sample...
Re: Their morons... EFX had one wrong address for me; it looked like a simple data input error ("19" instead of "10", everything else was correct). So I faxed them a correction. When I got the dispute resolution back, they had removed the one erroneous address, but added two more. There was an error in my primary address, which instead of 5142 West Whatever, was now 5 West Whatever. They had also added an entirely new address to my history, one that I've never seen before. When I did a Google search on the address, it turns out to be for the local University, with which I have absolutely no affiliation or history. So I sent in another fax. This time they removed the error, but added another wrong address, again it looked like a data entry error, and they also added an address that I lived at 12 years ago, which, par for the course, they misspelled. I'm now afraid to send in any more corrections, because if I do, I might suddenly discover that I live in another state. Please, drop me on my head about thirty times so that I, too, can be considered qualified to work at CSC.
