They turned it over to a CA

I called on my fairly recent medical bills and I got a voice mail today from the original doc's office saying they had turned one bill over to a CA and she gave me their number and said I had to call them and deal with them. :(

It is a bill for $300. I was hoping I got to them all before they turned it over to collections.

The $300 bill is not on my CR yet.

Do you think there is a chance to make payments on it and not have it show up on my credit reports?

You don't have to talk to a ca on the phone.

    slim if any.

As LBrown said, deal with the CA only in writing. Get the CA's address from the OC, and send a validation request and a limited cease/desist to communicate only in writing, mailed return-receipt-requested, as soon as possible.

That *MAY* keep it from appearing on your reports.
