I called on my fairly recent medical bills and I got a voice mail today from the original doc's office saying they had turned one bill over to a CA and she gave me their number and said I had to call them and deal with them. It is a bill for $300. I was hoping I got to them all before they turned it over to collections. The $300 bill is not on my CR yet. Do you think there is a chance to make payments on it and not have it show up on my credit reports?
As LBrown said, deal with the CA only in writing. Get the CA's address from the OC, and send a validation request and a limited cease/desist to communicate only in writing, mailed return-receipt-requested, as soon as possible. That *MAY* keep it from appearing on your reports.
