Thin File & looking for Decent Car loan

OK... I have a friend who has a thin file. She has four or five credit cards (paid on time and over a years or so old) and her beacon is in the 650ish. The problem is... her largest card is 4K and she doesn't have any other loans (that would help in her case).

What car dealership would be the best for her to use. I was told Ford... but I've never dealt with anyone other than Lexus and BMW. Can someone help me out here....

    Thanks

Ford might be a way to go, or even GM. However, she could probably do as well, if not better, by trying a credit union and eLoan or LendingTree.

If she goes with an automaker-based loan (Toyota Motor Credit etc) or even a CU be sure to have her line all that up *before* going car shopping. This should eliminate dealer surprises. I think you can apply online and get preapproved for $xxx.

A buddy of mine with a 510 got a $24k loan with a very decent interest rate from People First.
